    Valley of the Firelands

The Blue Envelope Appeal: This fund supports the Abbott Foundation for higher education scholarships. The number of Valley members responding to this appeal determines how much scholarship money we receive from the Supreme Council each year. Since the amount we receive is based on how many Valley members donate to this charity verses how much money the members donate, if each member of our Valley donated just $1.00, we would be a 100% VALLEY in the Supreme Council Office. That would be a great honor for the Valley of The Firelands and would come right back to us as scholarship funds to help our family members.

Children's Dyslexia Centers: For over two decades, the Scottish Rite Masons, Northern Masonic Jurisdiction, have been national leaders in the effort to help children and their families overcome the painful obstacles of dyslexia. With more than 40 Dyslexia Centers in 13 states, the Children's Dyslexia Centers tackle the challenge of dyslexia head-on, both by providing free tutoring for children with dyslexia and by training a growing cadre of highly skilled and dedicated tutors. Leon M. Abbott Scholarship Program: This program provides financial support for undergraduate and graduate education for Scottish Rite Masons, students directly related to a Scottish Rite Mason, or members of youth organizations sponsored by the Masonic fraternity. Qualifying students must be high school seniors with a grade point average of at least 2.75 on a 4.0 scale and currently accepted at an accredited college, university, or trade school; or undergraduate or graduate students currently enrolled in an accredited college or university.
Applicants should download this form, print and complete it, and mail it to the secretary of the Valley of the applicant's sponsor.

Black Cap Fund: This fund uses member donations to help pay the petition fees for new members who need financial assistance to join the Valley of The Firelands. Any amount donated to the Black Cap Fund will help some new brother to experience the fellowship and learning that this Valley offers.
To apply for assistance from the Black Cap Fund, you or a brother in need can download and complete the PDF application form or the fillable application form in Word. Instructions on how to submit it are on the form.

Endowment: Money donated to our endowment is added to our growing fund whose purpose is to provide a more stable future for the Valley of The Firelands. The fund itself will not be drawn from, but interest earned from the fund will be used to provide a secure anchor of funding for the needs of the Valley far into the future.

General: Money donated to this fund is used as needed to support the immediate needs of the Valley of the Firelands. It helps make up any gaps in funding shortfall and expand our ever-growing inventory of supplies needed for the Valley's degree work.

Charitable Relief Fund: Money donated to this fund is used to support brothers in need. Funds are allocated as needed by the Treasurer at the recommendation of the Relief Committee.

Masonic Youth Groups: Money donated to this fund is passed on to Masonic youth groups (Rainbow Girls, Order of Demolay, and Job's Daughters) as determined by the needs of each group and the decision of the Board of Trustees for the Valley. Specific youth groups can be specified by donors in comments accompanying the donation.

Use the form below to send donations to support one of the charitable or supporting funds of the Valley of The Firelands. Please submit a separate form for each fund you wish to donate to.
