Celebrate the Rite

Sixty Masons and their ladies enjoyed fellowship and a meal at the third annual Celebrate the Rite event for the Valley of the Firelands. This year was especially exciting as the Valley's first two 33rd degree recipients, Joseph Radocy and Ron Drebert.

Over 60 men enjoyed this special educational event included a dinner, the screening of the 1943 Nazi anti-Masonic film "Occult Forces" which depicted the French version of the Entered Apprentice degree, and a discussion of how Freemasonry was preserved during one of the trying times of World War II in Europe.

Launching a New Year in the Scottish Rite

Over 120 Valley members were present at this event that featured the presentation of the charters for the Kilbourne Lodge of Perfection, Seneca-Green Springs Council of Princes of Jerusalem, Platt Benedict Chapter of Rose Croix, and the Consistory of Sandusky and the Firelands. Thirty-third degree jackets were also presented, gifts presented to Chairman of the Board Joe Radocy and the Deputy for Ohio Doug Kaylor. Eric R. Schau was installed as the Deputy's Representative for the Valley of the Firelands. 32nd Degree certificates were presented to Valley members who had witnessed the 32nd degree last November. The evening closed with a presentation by Russ Herner about the construction of the cathedrals of Europe. |
